When you join the Coronado Chapter of the MOAA (Join Coronado MOAA) you can participate in one of the nation’s most influential military officer’s networks.

Our membership is composed of:
- Men and women who are or have been officers — that is, commissioned or warrant officers — of the regular, reserve or National Guard of the United States in one of the eight US uniformed services of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Public Health Service or Space Command.
- Widows and widowers of deceased members or of any deceased individual who would, if living, be eligible for membership.
- Individuals elected as Honorary Members as set forth in Section 2(e) of MOAA Membership Articles.
- There shall be no discrimination in membership or participation in the affairs of the Association by reason of race, creed, color, national origin, sex, handicap, or age.
Coronado Chapter MOAA Members are more than just members. They are facilitators. They successfully influence local government. They publicize valuable information to other MOAA members and affected military personnel. They recognize outstanding young people and help others in time of need. And while doing so, they develop close and lasting friendships with others of similar backgrounds and aspirations.

We have for 17 consecutive years received 5-Star chapter recognition from National MOAA, and in 2019 through 2023 have received 5 Star recognition for our Website and for our Newsletter “The Heliogram.”

MOAA has produced positive results on Capitol Hill in recent years thanks in large part to the support of its chapter members. Improvements in Survivor Benefits (SPB) and in military health care including TRICARE for Life, active duty pay increases, and the repeal of the dual compensation law are just a few of MOAA’s recent successes.

Chapter membership offers many benefits to enhance your personal and professional life.
As one of more than 425 chapters worldwide, and nine chapters in the State of Arizona, the Coronado Chapter provides opportunities to network and socialize with people who share your values of patriotism, honor and selflessness. Guest speakers at chapter social events often provide critical information related to local base and community issues, pay and military benefits.
Are you looking for a way to become more involved in your community? The Coronado Chapter sponsors a college scholarship program that currently includes $12,000 in scholarships per year for high school seniors in Cochise and Santa Cruz counties, and awards for JROTC cadets, political forums and other community activities.
Annual Coronado Chapter dues are $15.00 for Regular members (or $50 for 5 yrs or $150 for Life) and $10.00 for Surviving Spouse members (or $40 for 5 yrs or $100 for Life), so you can afford to try our local chapter. New members get their first year for free!
Customarily the Coronado Chapter MOAA:
* Sponsors recognition programs for local Junior ROTC units.
* Provides assistance to members, their families and survivors in time of need.
* Publishes a monthly newsletter – The Heliogram – to keep our members informed of activities of interest to them.
* Holds periodic dinner and luncheon meetings featuring civic, political, military, or business leaders and other social gatherings. Chapter meetings are normally on the third Thursday of the month with the exception of June, July and August. November and December meetings vary depending on the holidays.
